Ouija in Balatro: Converts all cards in hand to a single random rank, -1 hand size. Effect, risks, and when the payoff is worth it.
Source: Spectral Pack (and Ghost Deck shop); shop cost is $4
Unlock requirement: Available from start
Strategy Tip
Shrinks hand size permanently but enables Five of a Kind on demand. Only use in dedicated Ouija builds where the rank synergizes with specific jokers.
How to use Ouija
Tier: D
Group: Deck changers (Copy, destroy, enhance, or convert playing cards)
Best when: Early in Ante 1 or 2 to anchor a 4 or 5 of a Kind build before hand size penalties hurt.
