How to play it
In our own words, from our seed check (the original post has the finder's own notes).
- Ante 1, shop before the Big Blind: open the Buffoon Pack and take the Negative Brainstorm.
- Same shop: open the Arcana Pack and take The Soul for a Negative Perkeo. You need enough money for both packs.
- Hieroglyph is the Ante 2 voucher and Petroglyph the Ante 5 voucher, if you want extra time to build.
Our take: why it's good
- Both Jokers are Negative, so your five slots stay empty after shop one.
- Brainstorm copies your leftmost Joker. Put Perkeo there and you get two Negative consumable copies per shop (our reading of the card text).
- One commenter on the original post got a different Joker in the Buffoon Pack. A locked Joker on that save is the likely cause (our inference).

Caveats
- The post didn't name a deck, so we checked Red Deck.
- The post didn't name a stake, so we checked White Stake.
- Skipping a blind also skips the shop after it, so later shops change if you skip or reroll differently.
- Seeded runs don't count toward unlocks or achievements.
How this seed was checked
This run was verified by BalatroBuddy on v1.0.1 (checked 2026-10-28) on Red Deck at White Stake.

Nobody at BalatroBuddy has played these seeds yet: every route here is worked out from the game's seed logic, not a human playtest.
We work out Antes 1-8 for the posted deck and stake from the game's seed logic. A seed is verified when every item in the post title shows up in a pack, a voucher or the first few shop cards. We leave playing-card ranks in Standard Packs off, because we can't confirm them reliably. Results assume every Joker is unlocked.

Questions
How do I play seed SXIY8GIY?
Start a new run, switch on Seeded Run, type SXIY8GIY, and pick Red Deck on White Stake.
Does it still work in the current version?
We checked it on 28 Oct 2026 (PDT). Later patches may change results; players on r/balatro reported in 2026 that seeds have not changed.
Why is my shop different?
The usual causes: a different deck or stake, a Joker that is still locked on your save, or skipping a blind (which removes a shop).
Who found it?
It was shared by the original poster (Reddit post).
