Ice Cream

Effect: +100 Chips -5 Chips for every hand played

BalatroBuddy tier: C (Our opinion)

Ice Cream gives +100 chips but loses 5 chips for every hand played in Balatro. Common, $5, no unlock. How long it lasts and when to sell.

Cost: $5

Rarity: Common

Category: Additive Chip Jokers

Unlock requirement: Available from start.

How to play Ice Cream

Front load your scoring: play fewer, stronger hands so the 5 per hand penalty is minimized. Pair with Acrobat (x3 on final hand) or Dusk (retrigger final hand) to end rounds quickly and cash the +100 Chips.

Pulls against: Loyalty Card (wants many hands) · Ride the Bus (long chains)
