Verdict

Doubles every face card effect you own at once. With a face card multiplier attached it is one of the largest single upgrades in the game.

Why it works

Retriggers are multiplicative against per-card multipliers. A face card worth X2 pays X2 twice, so a five-face hand under Triboulet moves from 2^5 = X32 to 2^10 = X1,024.
It retriggers every played face card, not one of them, so its value grows with the number of face cards in the hand rather than being a fixed bonus.
It stacks with the other retrigger sources rather than overlapping them — Hanging Chad, Seltzer, and Dusk each add their own separate triggers.
At Uncommon and $6, it is drastically cheaper than the effects it doubles.

Order does not change what it retriggers, but keep it right of additive jokers as usual.

How to play

Buy the face card payoff first, then Sock and Buskin. On its own it retriggers a face card's base chips and little else.
Convert toward Kings and Queens with Death and Strength so more of the hand qualifies.
With Pareidolia every card in the deck counts as a face card, which turns this into a permanent retrigger on your entire hand.

The X2 on the first face card fires twice, for X4 on that card.

Photograph triggers on the first played face card scoring, and the retrigger presents that card a second time.

With no face card payoff on board this retriggers base chips and nothing more, which is worth roughly +30 chips and not a slot.
It does nothing for held-in-hand builds. Baron players want Mime, not this.
The unlock needs 300 face cards played across all runs, so it is not available to newer accounts.

Roughly doubles the exponent of any face card build, which is normally the difference between clearing Ante 8 and stalling at Ante 7.
